Top Cat Behavior Problems

I'm running a "cat theme" on this blog lately (I love my two furry babies, and if I can help others with theirs, then great!) - here's a page that's an overview (with resources, of course) on top cat behavior problems and what to do about them (and why they happen).

Understanding cat behavior is key to finding a solution. (I can appreciate that picture below because Miss Patches loves, loves, loves papertowels!) Thus paper towels no longer get left where she can see or reach them.

Starting from Scratch: How to Correct Behavior Problems in Your Adult Cat

The resources on my cat behavior help page should help you find a solution for your particular cat behavior problem - if nothing else, you've gotta see the Treat Monster video. (Okay, maybe it's just me, but that video makes me giggle. My kitty boy is a bit of a treat monster - never grabs the bag, he just likes them a whole, whole lot.)

How To Get Rid of Cat Spray Smell

http://the.squidoocdn.com/imgs/no_img.png

Cat spraying is one of the most difficult cat behaviors to not only correct but also, it's very hard to get rid of the smell - which leads to a pattern of behavior where the cat then resprays the area because he can smell it. (And I use the male pronoun "he" because this is typically a male behavior - althought female cats can spray as well.)

The behavior of cat spraying is the top reason that people get rid of their cats (or euthanize them). Ugh...so sad.

Like I said, it's a difficult problem - but not a hopeless one.

If you're at the point where you need a gas mask...you're in the right spot.

Here's some links on a page I did (with resources) for help with this cat spraying behavior problem. (And remember it can also be health problem - any time your cat changes behavior, get him or her to the vet for a check-up.)

A Warm Welcome from Sandra

I come across a lot of cool stuff and useful resources...this blog is where I track what I've found...and hey, maybe save you some searching.

A lot of the stuff I find/discover/learn about is in the area of travel, cat health/pets, education and learning (I used to be a teacher), marketing, writing, health, and cool tools and gadjets I like...oh - and food, especially food.

I currently live in Italy and have loved living here...it's always been a dream to live overseas, and our experience here couldn't have been better.

We've gotten to know Italy (Naples in particular) pretty well - in fact, our two kitties were born here...and I've learned to cook from my landlady (a true Italian nonna). I'll be posting authentic Italian recipes, insider travel information and stuff  "Italian" over at Southern Italian Living.

I'm interested in creativity, faith, and resilience as well as expressive therapies like writing, poetry, journaling and photography.

And I've recently rekindled a love for crafting that I had as a kid...anybody else like Shrinky Dinks? My latest project (which you may end up seeing here) was a letter "G" made out of wine corks. My next project will be a decoupaged Italian roof tile (called a "tegola"). Can't wait!

I'm also passionate about small business and people making a living/earning money sharing the gifts God gave them. So, there may be a profile or two in here for good measure. People doing their "thing" is truly beautiful!
